For auto policies, a policy number is not necessary if you have two other pieces of information from the policy (VIN and either name or address).

For homeowner policies, a policy number is required along with either the name or address.

May I search by Name and Address?

For security purposes, the system will not allow a search by policyholder last name when combined only with the address.

May I search by Vehicle Identification Number?

VIN may be used as one of the search criteria for auto policies. A policy number, policyholder name or address must also be entered.

If the address or name of the lienholder/mortgagee is incorrect or changes need to be made, who should we contact?

You have the option to resolve these issues through this online system by using the Update option. For additional help you may contact customer service using the number listed on the login page.

Will the policy information reflect the last renewal date and will it show the effective date of coverage for a particular vehicle?

For renewal date, the screens will show the renewal date of the current term. As for the effective dates, currently you enter the date you want information displayed for and the information displayed is policy date as of the date you requested.

The effective date can be backdated up to 15 months.

What does it mean by Line of Business on the Search Menu?

What is List Bill and why do I not see anything when I use that option?

List Bill is a way to receive Auto and Fire notices via the ePartner site rather than paper notices (New Business, Changes, Renewals, etc) via mail. This is an additional opt in service that can be set up for your lender clause. It helps reduce the volume of mail going to your company and gives you immediate access to notices. Fire List Bill clients also have the ability to pay premium amounts due via the List Bill "Pay Now" feature.

Sometimes an account number is entered on an auto lienholder policy and system may have reached its limitation. If it has reached its limitation, the city will need to be shortened to 9 characters or less.

I choose option "Display Policy Details" and then I want to change the lienholder/mortgagee and the change option does not display for this. Why?

The policy is unavailable at that time to make a change as it may have a pending transaction. You can wait a few days and then try to process the change again.

What is the correct name and address to use when changing the Auto Lienholder?

You can use the lender code or the name, state and zip code of the lienholder. If you know the four digit "lender code" of the lender you want to appear on the policy, you may enter it in the lender code box when processing a change or addition of a lienholder to a specific policy.

If you do not have the four-digit lender code, simply skip the "lender code" box and key in at least one character of the lienholder company name, select the state in which the lienholder company is located from the drop down menu, and key a minimum of five digits of the lienholder's zip code, then click on the "search" button to begin the search.

If the search criteria entered renders more than one lender code, the screen will display all that match your search criteria, and will allow you to select the appropriate lender code based on the complete address of the lender.

If an auto policy has Liability only, can I still add a lienholder?

No, you will receive a message "The policy cannot have lienholder information updated". You will not have an option on the display page to update the policy. You will need to contact the agent so the CCD and Collision can be added.

Why would I receive a message "A Facesheet is not able to be sent to you from this transaction. To order a Facesheet, process a separate transaction with effective date of xx/xx/xxxx."?

If there is a future transaction and you are trying to request a facesheet currently, you will have to go to the future date and request the facesheet. You can still process the lienholder/mortgagee change with the current date but you will be unable to request a facesheet with the current date.

Is it necessary to enter both the mortgagee code and name, state, and zip of the lender on a change?

No, you may search using the mortgagee code or the name, state and zip code of the mortgagee. Each mortgage lender in the Farmers Insurance Group mortgagee database is assigned a four digit "mortgagee code". If you know the four-digit code of the lender you want to appear on the policy, you may enter it in the "mortgagee code" box when processing a change or addition of mortgagee to a specific policy.

If you do not have the four-digit mortgagee code, simply skip the "mortgagee code" box and key in at least one character of the mortgage company name, select the state in which the mortgage company is located from the drop down menu, and key a minimum of five digits of the mortgagee's zip code, then click on the "search" button to begin the search.

If the search criteria entered renders more than one mortgagee code, the screen will display all that match your search criteria, and allow you to select the appropriate mortgagee code based on the complete address of the lender.
